Join the Convoy
Ready to hit the road with us? We’re looking for like-minded legends to jump in their own budget 4WDs and tackle the epic journey to the Tip of Australia — for a bloody good cause.
This isn’t a race. It’s not a competition. It’s an experience. A challenge. A rolling convoy of rust, grit, dust, and purpose.
Here is what you need to know
💰 Vehicle value must be under $7,000
This doesn’t include rego — just the car and mods
The more basic- the better.
🚗 It must be registered and roadworthy
Registered, comprehensive insurance.
🛠 4WD strongly preferred — some sections will get rough!
Winch, snorkel, etc.
🎒 Bring your own gear
You’ll need to be fully self-sufficient: camping, cooking, tools, recovery gear, etc.
🎨 Decorate your rig!
The more ridiculous the better — just keep it safe. Add your own flair, a theme, or even business logos.
🏁 This is NOT a race
We’re doing this together. Drive at your pace, look after each other, and enjoy the journey
💸 You pay your own way
Fuel, food, repairs, and camp fees are on you.
This depends on sponsorship funds, which will be distributed among the convoy to help cover expenses such as fuel, food, and campsites.
🚘 Real 4wd Experience Needed
We can't teach the convoy how to 4WD, Please come self-sufficient, with winch, recovery gear, etc. We will support each other along the tracks but drivers must be experienced enough for the Old Telegraph Track.
💲There is an expectation to fundraise
There is an expectation that convoy members will fundraise, ideally $5k to be donated to Cancer Council or Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
🤝 Sponsorship is welcome!
Businesses can sponsor our convoy to help with costs along the way. Surplus sponsorship will be split and donated to Chris Obrien Lifehouse and Cancer Council.
